Tears of a Tiger

Dear Andy,
Depression plays a huge role after someone close to like Rob dies. No one should accept you to snap back so quickly after the incident. I understand that you believe it was your fault because you were the one drinking and driving. You tried to save to save him but you could not. I know that it will take a long time to recover but you cannot blame yourself forever. Most of everything that you are thinking is just your mind. I think that you should go on with your life, yes you can still mourn but you have to realize that Rob is dead and there is really nothing you can do about it but learn from it. NO you should not have been drinking while and driving, but know you can learn from it. Now you can see how much pain drinking and driving can do. Also you have to think about how this is affecting your friends, BJ, Gerald and Keisha, and your parents. They are trying there best to do help you Andy but you have to let them. Even though you might think that your parents don’t care or love you but they do. It is hard to try to help someone who is constantly depressed and that’s why you have to go to Dr.Carrothers. You have to open up to him so he can help you because your family and friends care about you and you have to realize that. I
I understand that you feel as if Keisha is always there for you when no one else is, but she gets tired to and you have to realize that. Rob was not just important to you but his friends. His parents also have to go through a lot knowing that there son is no longer alive. I think the best thing to do is to talk to Dr.Carrothers and at least try to understand it was not your fault. Your whole attitude and personality has changed because of the accident. The reason is because you feel guilty. Another way you can stop being depressed all the time is by doing what you told Rob’s parents to do in the letter you wrote to them. Sometimes it is good to think about all the good things instead of the bad things. Think about all the things that You, Rob, B.j, Gerald, and Tyrone did. How you used to have a lot of fun. Your friends are worried about you because of your depression problems. Tyrone was closer to than Rob, and it seems as if he is getting over the incident easier. That may be that you just can’t get over the fact that you were the one driving. Your mind is telling you that Rob’s parents hate you but in reality imp sure they don’t hate you like you think.
You told Dr. Carrothers that sometimes you feel like killing yourself, because you want the pain to go away. Doing that is not going to take the pain away it is just going to bring more pain. Think about what pain your parents will go through. Do you want them to have to go through what Rob’s parents are going through? What about your friends? Your brother Monty needs his older brother to help in when he gets your age, think about how this might affect his life. So killing yourself should be out of the question. There are plenty of ways to handle situations like this and easy ways as well. Andy the best thing for you to do is to try to keep living your life normally. Of course sometimes the remembrance of what happened that night will never leave you, but that can always be a reminder to NEVER drink and drive again because it can bring so much pain and hurt to a person’s life. These are just some words that I think will help you get through your rough time. Taking good advice always help out when you seem as if you’re lost Andy.
