Have you ever had an interaction with someone who was not your family member, but they were able to change your life for the better? Discuss it

Yes I have had someone who is not my family member and they where able to change my life. My 5th grade teacher helped change my life. She always was there for me; she was like a second mother. She never showed favoritism or anything of the sort. One way she helped me was encouragement. Even though I already had it from my mother she still was there to give me more. Even now I still can go to her for that. She also helped me to understand situations better, how to act in certain situations. It took a lot of hard work but it finally paid off. Even with little things like my work, when I had problems with understanding it she helped me. She always had good advice to give to me no matter what. Even though I had a mother that was in my life and had an important part in my life, my teacher was like a second mom. It was kind of stressful getting all of that pressure from both of them but it later paid off and I think it was worth it. I knew that if I got in trouble I didn’t have to just deal with my mom nut her also. She helped me understand that no matter how tired you get it would all pay off. I still go to her for advice when I need it. I still tell her that I appreciate everything she taught me it helped me.

1.Is it possile or neccessay to be a bystander when somene is being hurt.

No I do not think it is appropriate or necessary to remain a silent bystander when someone is being hurt physically or emotionally. It is very hard for me to stay quiet when I see someone emotionally hurt. Even if I can’t really help I always ask “what’s the matter”, just to show some concern. If I can help then I will. In some cases when someone is being hurt physically in a dangerous way I think the best thing to do would be to call the police, because trying to get involved in something like that could danger yourself. If it is something you can handle its good to help them because you would want someone to help you in a case such as that one.
Yes it is possible to make amends for your wrongdoings. A way to do this would be to return whatever you stole and to make sure you don’t steal again. Now if you choose to steal over and over again and think that because you apologize makes amends for what you did well you’re wrong. I think that is the only way to amend your wrongdoings. Another way to amend them is by not doing them in the first place.
No we do not have an obligation to be truthful and loyal to our family members and friends. We don’t have to but we should. We should always be able to be truthful to our family and also loyal. If they are “friends” we need to be truthful to them if you want them to be truthful to you then why can’t you be truthful to them. Loyalty is important in friendship and family. If your family cant even trust you than there’s a problem. Of course you DON’T have to be loyal and truthful but you should want to be.

DPS vs. Charter

Yes I do think that Charter schools should replace Public school. There are many reasons that support my opinion. The first one is that all the public schools are becoming a disaster. Charter Schools know how to take care of there school and that’s why they get money and can keep there school looking nice. Of course public schools could be just as good as charter schools if they knew how to enforce policies at there schools. There are a lot of differences between a charter and public school. I think charter schools should replace public schools because if they are not going to change then maybe if they had no choice about there school a charter school will help them.
Public schools are becoming more and more a disaster. They used to just be “public schools”. Schools that didn’t have as much as Charter schools. Now they are even worse. The policies are the main reason I think. The administrators does not enforce or make strict enough rules for the students in which charter schools have many rules that are enforced and followed most of the time. Public schools give to many second chances when dealing with their students.
Charter schools way of learning is better than public schools. Their classroom sizes are way smaller than the average public school. They have more technology, and the public school is a little envious. So yes I do think that Charter schools should replace Public schools it is better for them.

What do you think Humanities is?

What I think humanities is a Language arts and Social Studies class mixed together. I think it deals with the world, and I think it’s about lititure. We will learn about different writing techniques and forms of stories in the language arts part. In the Social studies part I think it is basically about the world, different places around the world. It also teaches us about different cultures in those different places. Humanities I s just a fancy word for two subjects that are put together. I think it is a very important class to have in school all grades.

The difference between a Quincenera and a Sweet 16?

A coming of age ceremony that an American girl has is a sweet 16. A Latin American or Mexican girl has a Quinceanera. A sweet 16 is a party for a young girl turning 16. A Quinceanera is given to a girl on there 15th birthday .The two are very different but at the same time they are very alike. The two ceremonies have some similarities. First of all they both mark the transition of childhood to womanhood. They both are a form of a party or birthday celebration. These two are traditions for different cultures.

The differences that the two ceremonies have are that a Quinceanera is more of a ballroom setting. In which case a sweet 16 can be ballroom, casual, formal, or semi-formal. A Quincenera is given to a 14 year old girl on their 15th birthday, in which case a sweet 16 is given to a 15 year old girl on their 16th birthday. At a Quincenera it is basically a celebration of the coming of age of a 15yr.old. The celebration includes a ceremony, dance, and some words of advice of their young girl’s mother.

A Sweet 16 is ceremony of the young girl’s virginity. Also a Sweet 16 can be anything as simple as a house party, or dinner at a restaurant. It is not as elegant as a Quincenera but it is a celebration of American culture. A Quincenera’s setting is like a wedding, very very formal. Even though the two are different they are still celebrations.

What do you think robin was feeling when he decided to sail around the world? Would this be possible today?

I think Robin was feeling anxious and a little nervous. I say that he was feeling anxious because this was something that he wanted to do. It was his dream, and he felt as if he was prepared to take on the journey. I think he was also anxious because this was also a dream that his father had wanted to accomplish but did not. I think he was feeling nervous because he was concentrated on what his parents would think once he had left. He also had to deal with the consequences that might occur while he is on his journey. He had to deal with famine, shortage of water and also the fact that he was going to be on the boat by himself.

Yes I do think that this would be possible today. Actually I think it would be easier today because the boats today has more technology added to them. Another reason why I think it would be easier is because the boats today are built differently and the people that made boats at that time did not have all the technology that we have today. So I believe it was more difficult then because they had to be more problems with those boats. If someone would try to do this adventure then I think they should have a certain time that they should be back. To me personally it would only take 1 year or so for a person today to complete this journey. Unlike Robin which took several years.
